The American University of Armenia Akian Art Gallery management (Department of Institutional Advancement reviews all exhibitions on the basis of theme, quality, size.

The Gallery administration is preparing and promoting the exhibition announcements through different channels.

The art exhibited in the Gallery should be in accord with the following principles:

  • Should be the work of the artist (otherwise, the copyright of the art should be explicit to the Gallery administration and the public)
  • Should not violate the core values of human rights
  • Should not violate the values and principles of an educational institution

Proposals of the exhibitions should include web links/digital/print image of works for the Gallery administration review; background of the artist, description of the works (including size, number of works, proposed title, and theme for the exhibition).

The proposals should be made at least three months before the expected date of the exhibition.

The exhibitions in the Akian Art Gallery usually run 3-4 months.

Artists should note that the Gallery will also be used for other events and receptions throughout the year.
